Last Thursday, an unexpected series of events unfolded that beautifully showcased the power of global connections. I received three phone calls from a French number, followed by a message: “Good day, can we come to you in 30 minutes? We are traveling with a van and a dog.” This spontaneous visit turned into a delightful encounter, marking the arrival of our first guests of the year. Despite the fact that the water in the house was not yet running, their enthusiasm was palpable. This is the essence of what Jonathan e.V. strives to promote: international friendships that transcend borders.
Since last year, thanks to Lars, we have been listed on Park4night as a parking spot for travelers. This platform has allowed us to welcome a diverse array of guests from various countries, each bringing their unique stories and experiences. The relationships we’ve built with some of them continue to flourish, demonstrating the profound impact of global interactions. Our inclusive school project benefits immensely from these connections, as they help to illustrate to our children and residents how valuable they are to the world.
The funds we receive from our guests are wholly dedicated to our inclusive school project. In this time of economic uncertainty across Europe, every contribution counts. We are sincerely grateful for the support we receive, as it enables us to continue our mission. The societal and economic challenges we face remind us of the importance of community and collaboration. By fostering these international relationships, we not only promote our project but also create a network of support that enriches everyone involved.
