**A heartfelt thanks to Elvira for her commitment to animal welfare**
In an inclusive school project, children learn not only academic knowledge, but also social responsibility. An important part of this learning process is dealing with nature and animals. In the educational and encounter center where the project takes place, a donkey and some sheep are part of the animal cast. These animals not only serve as visual aids, but also teach children empathy and respect for other living beings.
**Animal cruelty and Elvira’s commitment to abused animals**
Despite the positive environment in the school project and the encounter center, Elvira and the children are confronted with sad realities every day. Some people show no respect for animals – whether it’s by beating cows and horses or tormenting free-roaming dogs. Particularly shocking is the careless handling of cats that Elvira has to witness again and again. Small kittens are thrown over the garden fence like trash, and Elvira lovingly takes care of them, even though she herself is struggling with financial difficulties.
**The rescue and placement of abused animals**
Despite the challenges and sadness that Elvira experiences on a daily basis, there are also glimmers of hope. Recently, two of the animals thrown over the fence in the fall found a new home in Dresden, where they were lovingly welcomed. These success stories show that the commitment to abused animals is worthwhile and that each individual can make a difference, even in seemingly hopeless situations.
**Thanks to Elvira and support through food donations**
At this point, a heartfelt thanks is expressed to Elvira, who takes care of abused animals out of pure love for animals. Despite her own financial difficulties, she lovingly takes care of the animals, organizes vet visits and advocates for important measures such as sterilizations and castrations. Felix also deserves great thanks for giving the last two rescued cats a loving home.
