The moment we heard that we had raised enough funds for the roof tiles, my heart soared with joy! This was not just a financial accomplishment but a significant milestone for the inclusive school project in Dacia. On November 14, 2022, we launched our fundraising campaign, and now, after four months of hard work and dedication, we received the first installment from betterplace, the organization supporting our initiative. Knowing that we can now order the roof tiles fills me with an overwhelming sense of hope for the future of these children.
But while this step has been accomplished, we still need your help. We aim to get the best possible price for the roof tiles, and if you have connections to suppliers or happen to be one yourself, please reach out to us. We require around 21,000 tiles, and every contribution counts. Some might think that sourcing the tiles directly in Romania would be the best option to support the local economy. While we share that sentiment, the reality is that the quality does not meet the standards necessary for durability, and availability is quite limited.
The thought of providing a safe and secure environment for our children drives us forward. The roof is essential, but it only represents a third of the total material costs needed for the entire renovation. We also require much more material, and if we can secure better prices, we might significantly reduce our target sum. Each bit of support brings us closer to creating a safe haven for the children who need it most.
