In addition to the inclusive school project and the education and meeting center in Dacia/Stein, we accompany and support families in personally, health-related, social, economic, and/or financially difficult situations.
Some time ago, we received information that a woman of about 60 years old is caring for her severely dependent father-in-law all by herself. Her own husband passed away from Corona about 2 years ago.
Two of the special daily challenges until recently were caring for the bedridden elderly man in a regular bed, which increasingly led to physical complaints for the caring woman, who according to her doctor’s instructions should not be doing this heavy work at all. Additionally, there was a constant need for incontinence materials and their high costs.
A modern nursing bed was waiting for its second use for the family in our education and meeting center in Dacia/Stein (a heartfelt thank you to the Diakonissenkrankenhaus in Dresden for providing it).
A big thank you to Jana and Falko who additionally brought the needed donations on-site and helped set up the bed.
