**School Garden: Education and Self-Sufficiency for Children – A Sustainable Learning Concept**

**The school garden as a place of education and self-sufficiency**

In our inclusive school project, education as a holistic approach is at the forefront. Since its foundation in 2010, a school garden has also been part of it. The children are actively involved in preparing the garden for the new season and removing the traces of winter. Maria and Elvira have been working hard in recent days to prepare the beds for the upcoming gardening season.

**Fruits and vegetables from own cultivation**

Fruits and vegetables grown over the course of the year are not only harvested, but also used promptly for the preparation of daily meals. Through this process, the children not only get to know the annual cycle of nature, but also the basics of self-sufficiency. Growing fruits and vegetables in their own school garden allows the children to experience and understand the processes of nature up close.

The school garden thus serves as a living classroom where children can gain practical experience. They learn not only theoretically, but also practically, how important it is to provide for oneself and take responsibility for the environment. The harvest yields are not only used for their own meals, but also serve as a basis for further learning projects within the school curriculum.

Your donation helps us to continue providing holistic education to the children and to promote their development in various ways. Every contribution counts and helps us to further expand and maintain the school garden as a place of education and self-sufficiency.

**Concluding Thoughts**

The school garden is not only a place of nature connection and learning, but also a place of community and cohesion. Here, children learn to take responsibility, work together, and commit to a sustainable future. We are proud to be able to create this space for encounter and growth and thank everyone who supports us. May the school garden continue to be a place where children not only gain knowledge, but also live values such as respect, mindfulness, and solidarity.
