Dear friends of our work in Dacia/Stein,
we wish you a beautiful, harmonious, and peaceful Christmas season. Our time seems to be very turbulent and presents us with new challenges every day. Sometimes it seems there are no solutions, and we are constantly confronted with negative and cruel news and images.
In the last few days, I have received two fascinating images that invite us to find peace even in these times and to understand that we are allowed to rejoice. We are invited to enjoy the time with our loved ones and to turn inward for a while.
The first image (the two angels) was crafted by the children of the inclusive school project last week. Angels often symbolically represent hope, miracles, the feeling of not being alone, and being protected. It seems that the children sensed the miracle that has occurred in the last four weeks during our Christmas donation campaign. Of the required 15,000 euros for the roof work in the coming year, 9,786.25 euros have been donated in recent weeks. A heartfelt thank you to all the “angels” who have provided these gifts to the children.
The second image (tea and oranges) I received on December 23rd from our Ukrainian partner Pawlo. On December 21st, we sent the last transport of medical and educational materials to Ukraine. Pawlo often works until exhaustion for the people in Ukraine, and even on December 23rd, many of our donations were already distributed. But he too can and should enjoy some moments of peace, tranquility, and domestic harmony.
